All The Broken Seams

All The Broken Seams

A Poem by Taylor
"

A poem about Christian love and baptism.

"
Every part of me is hollow.
Your chest continues to rise up and down.
Like your sleeping breathes I am shallow,
I leave our "too many memories" town.

I have tears stored behind your eyes.
I apologize for my secret death.
I remember the cries.
You know when there's nothing and I have left.

The lights come on.
You become frantic.
You can't find me.
The aches become chronic.

You're afraid,
Don't be!
We all fade
And I will always try and run to set my people free.

Sorry, my love.
I promise everything's fine.
I've gone to talk to the higher above
To get answers about those that shine.

You find me in the outskirts of town,
In an old southern church.
Where without my sins I failed to drown.
You finish your search.

When all was lost there was hope.
I smile at you.
You sit to help me cope.
Then drive me home at two.

The moon shines in all its glory,
And our foreheads are kissed with His moon beams.
While the stars tell a new story.
About how love stitches All The Broken Seams.
