Empty Shores

Empty Shores

A Poem by Static C

Waves crash

Against an empty shore

An Island sits inside us

Few have reached the shore

Beyond the empty shorelines

Where fear keeps us hiding

Building walls around us

 Waves crash

Against an empty shore

Like the wide spaces between the stanzas... just like waves!

I can hear, see and feel this.

Few words, great depth.
Well written.

I like to think that I am out there swimming against that current to reach those places yet undiscovered, but who knows. This was a very thoughtful piece and I enjoyed the rhythm and style of the piece.
