Fragile

Fragile

A Poem by Noah William

You think you know her

You think you care enough

she is like a fragile gusset

              on a cold winter gale

You think you know her

You think you love her

she is like a scared doe

runing in front of the fowler

No, you don't know her

You don't care

'Cause in the dark of her room

                       she cries almost every night

No, you don't know her

 You don't love her

                      'Cause her life extinguishes

                     every time she's near you

Love, once more you left me breathless. This poem has a nostalgic tone to it and to me it doesn't come off as sad, but as an enlightening provocation to see the person as they are, not as others might perceive her. Well done!

there something about male poetry that gets me. this is really well-written, i like how you presented the fragility, and the repetition helps to paint a painful picture
