AshesA Poem by noahbranniganFor aren't we all presumed innocent?
Midnight rain. The transparent water, Falls from the dark skies. Lustful red devilish red, pitch black, The sinners lurk in the night, For it is not the darkness you have to fear, But what crawls within. Snow white, pure crystal, The angels fall at the feet of temptation, As the sinners pursue their innocence. For aren’t we all presumed innocent? Smokey mirrors, cracked glass, Hiding us from the monsters we really are. Sweet flower, lovely scent, Your very perfume entices my deepest urges. Calm water, clear blue, rippled surface, You drown me in my sorrow. The water cleanses my scars from my skin, The ones you left behind. Ashes, ashes, ashes, We all fall down. For in the midnight rain we are lost. For every saint will be seen past the smokey mirror, To reveal the real monsters they are. The sinners. Your scent leaves my mind clear, As I drown in my own dark fantasies. Ashes, ashes, ashes, We all fall down. Liquid poison, a man’s evil remedy, The alcohol makes are furthest dreams seem possible. Kind eyes, hidden eyes, fearful eyes, secret eyes, Eyes are the window to our soul. Your green eyes excite the very pleasures, I deny myself in the darkest hours of the night. Burning fire, flickering flames, roaring fire, My passion, lust, it burns like a fire inside my body. Heating my skin from the inside out, Leaving my touch to burn, burn, burn. Dark red liquid boils under my skin, And streams out of my eyes like bloody tears. The bloody tears I cry for you. Ashes, ashes, ashes, We all fall down © 2015 noahbranniganAuthor's Note

Though through my experiences, those thoughts are far more than anything I can write down on a piece of paper. What I write is .. more..Writing
