River of Eden

River of Eden

A Poem by nmpsr14

called you back to the river of eden
fireflies all caught up in your hair
and the water it sparkles with mischief
and the flames, they turn up in despair
but you can't let go of this magic
oh, the magic it flows all around
called you back to the river of eden
but you don't, no you don't make a sound

the leaves, they dance oh-so freely
they're caressing the wind from the sea
and the trees sway with magic so dearly
and they whisper to all those who hear
that the words tangle twisted around you
but you can't feel them, not anymore
oh, the voices, the voices surround you
begging you to make your way back home

called you back to the river of eden
where you buried, you buried your soul
