Dissolution

Dissolution

A Poem by Nadra MacArthur

The carcass of what once was lie as bare,
stripped by months of carrion thought.
Ahead,
the sun burns the
febrile desperation from me.
I see you now
for what you are.
Extinct,
a white glare of bone
no more.
