Hand Over My Heart

Hand Over My Heart

A Poem by NAyersman
"

Another impromptu poem I wrote a few years back

"

Forever, I can write for love

But never can I speak it

Words that flow from my fingers

Clumsily tumble from the tongue.

My hands are open

But my mouth is closed.

My writing bears the emotions

That my voice conceals.

My hands are the window

To my fortress heart.

So break my hands,

That my heart may be open.

A very nice poem. I like those lines the most...:)

Thanks. I wrote this out of frustration over my inability to tell my friend how I felt about her.
