LONLINESS

LONLINESS

A Poem by Nicola Farren

Eyes open

Head hung low

Wanting to renature

No strength to go.

Ever so sigh lent

the quiet type.

Yet walking the line

between sorrow and fright.

No human contact

No loving glance

Instead eyes are opened

in constant trance.

Ever so longing

for someone to care

spiraling the staircase

to the pit of despair.
