Anger

Anger

A Poem by Nicola Farren

Everything seen

is through primitive eyes.

protective state

with emotional ties.

Loud banging noises

a tightness inside.

all faulted along

by that primitive side.

Threatening lashing

and thrashing around.

To the smallest of creatures

and smallest of sounds.

There’s no talking down

nor reasoning with

the primitive beast that anger is with.

I personally like to read a story within the poems...this poem is an abstract piece that screams for details. Tell us about the true event behind the emotions.

As with the author's other poetry, what makes this difficult, nay laughable, is the punctuation and oddball syntax. There's a real synthetic, nearly robotic quality to the lines and the constant repetition certainly doesn't help matters.

Regards,
