Little Black BirdA Poem by Nicola Farren
In a car parked and still
in man made surrounds. I gazed at the beauty that was scattered around. Chirping so cheerfully above in a tree. Was a little black bird I’d been waiting to see. Just then in the distance a reply came this way. Oh little black bird Please don’t fly away. How I wish I could join in and talk to you. Give me a signal to know you do too. Then all of a sudden magic filled the air. Voices of little birds from everywhere. Imagining their Conversations from ground amazingly I heard a laughing sound. Then quick as we’d started we had come to the end. The magic flew away with my little feathered friend. And often when sad I think of what I found That magic from a car parked in man made surrounds. © 2012 Nicola FarrenReviews
