The ProposalA Poem by Nivedithaa Ramaswami
There in her eyes,
Stood out the love. Flying, came the ardent desire in him, To make her, his. The floor was kissed by his knee, Her hand, by his lips. The velvet grazed his fingers, Words tumbled out his lips. Words of ; Love, Passion. She,with her: Glazed eyes, Quivering lips, Fluttering heart. As the diamond blinded ; Not just the eyes, But the dainty heart. Him, with his emotional proposal, Her , with her teary-eyed acceptance. Two hearts, Two souls, United. Slipped; The ring through her fingers, Tears off her eyes. Love Warmth Passion Engulfed them. For, It was, The Proposal.
