Penned on Februrary 22 2011

"

Why the sun brightens our sky?

or why there is a serene moonlight?

there are always some reasons,

but we always fail to understand.

And yesterday, when I met you at the cross lane,

the same sun brightened my day,

and the moonlight kept me awake.

On that night,

You shimmered like the starlet in the skies,

I followed you everywhere, even in your dreams

But somewhere, I was still lonely waiting for you

on that bench, where you dropped your earrings in twilight.

And today,

When I crossed your casket draped in black,

with the parish hymning His words of solace,

in vain, my infallible mind  tried to reason,

the same lunatic night and the aberrant sunlight

Nice poem..There are many things that we dont know why they happen. And poets delight in drawing beautiful interferences from them. Loved the way you think.
There is one piece of advice or you, please use spell-checker before publishing your poems. Otherwise, I enjoyed reading it.

I could feel the strong emotions running through this one. Very nice.
(you could perhaps use a spellchecker and grammar corrector; just a suggestion)
