Karma

Karma

A Poem by nishantshah2381

"
Oh lord!
I heard thy words
in the dark shrines
where the prophets preached
the dawning era of Ghouls.

Oh lord!
I read the gospel of Silence:
‘thee dilated our existence from clay’
And now the same fraught crusades
for cremating the cadavers back in time

Oh lord!
I rue my self being on this land.
You endowed me with the seed of life,
And my mirky psyche became sadist
mocking my destiny behind.

Oh lord!
Now I try to mortify my deeds,
Self-deliverance is the way to cease.
I plead thee to forgive
for the enactment of my soul.
And thou absolve me,
from the pains that barbed my mind,
before my existence perishes with time.

Well written!- "And thou absolve me, from the pains that barbed my mind, before my existence perishes with time".-- this speaks for itself... :)

Vivid and unique, good lines like, "from the pains that barbed my mind", sharp.

A beautiful prayer. Karma is hard to maintain. Hard to control emotion of anger and not to do things to harm people and nature. I like your words. They were strong and with purpose. Forgiveness is hard to find. Hardest forgiveness to receive is the person looking back at you in the mirror. I like the ending to the outstanding poem. Thank you.

Nice very different. Nice work.

I really enjoyed the depth of this piece, though I'm pretty sure karma has nothing to do with the Lord. Metaphysical prayers in verse are too rare. The line "I read the gospel of Silence" is gorgeous!

Ah the age old argument of Charmain intervention, well done

I enjoy how you are able to jump between religon and other subjects from different poems. I enjoyed this one

This is a poem about faith and forgiveness. We all do things that we shouldn't and it is a part of the human condition. It is good to pray and get those things off your mind that are causing you much stress.
