Long Distance RomanceA Poem by James Takeo Panton
One million miles
I might as well be
It seems that far
Between you and me
We connect from a distance
Too far to touch
The few words you text
To me, they mean much
Over long distance
Words we will trade
Of dreams that we hope for
Of plans that we’ve made
Sweet words and feelings
Online are conveyed
I feel a little less lonely
And not so afraid
We are so close
Yet so far apart
Yet you are always near
And close in my heart
Alone in my thoughts
Is where you shall be
So that you may remain
Always beside me
