One million miles

I might as well be

It seems that far

Between you and me

We connect from a distance

Too far to touch

The few words you text

To me, they mean much

Over long distance

Words we will trade

Of dreams that we hope for

Of plans that we’ve made

Sweet words and feelings

Online are conveyed

I feel a little less lonely

And not so afraid

We are so close

Yet so far apart

Yet you are always near

And close in my heart

Alone in my thoughts

Great work here.. I really liked this one.. yes distance will not stop feelings.. so true.. your emotions flow so nicely in writing.. line by line.. telling a true story.. I liked the whole piece but the lines:

I have many that have moved away that I do speak to online and by phone.. they are still close in my heart.. this poem I am saving to my favorites as it helps me remember that the ones we love are close where it matters.. including those important ones who have left us.. thank you so much for sharing!! =)

I enjoy this, it's the most amazing thing to watch humanity base it's self on the people we let walk beside us.
Eventually they are as much apart of us as ourselves. That is why distance is beatable. I proved it once. Very good.

loved these lines...the distance just doesn't seem to matter...
can relate to it completely...reminds me of someone really close...whose miles away...
