Samurai

 

I am one that has come to serve

With my honour and my valour

My loyalty is true and simple

I pass each day in noble effort

To perform my duty unwaveringly

I will not dishonour those that I may serve

Out of love and respect for those I am chosen by

My weapons shall be wielded, true and strong

My own desires must I maintain

Keep in check to those above me

Respect that which I hold most dear

Pride in my actions and deeds and efforts

Will I steadily keep

I shall strive to exist each day

At one with all things, terrible and beautiful

And have no fear of death or time’s passing

And live each moment, as though it were my last

And take not even the simplest things for granted
