I'm No Poet

I have issues with being labelled.....

I’m no poet

This is true

It’s not insight

Only my view

The words I write

Do not belie

The truest thoughts

Within my mind

Only things

I think and feel

A world I see

To me that’s real

These are only words

That I put down

They aren’t prophetic

Nor are they profound

Just some stuff

I’d like to say

In my own time

In my own way

Just some words

Paper and ink

Of things I feel

And things I think

I have issues with labels too and I get labeled a great deal...I really like the ordinary of your truth. You are very basic in your writes but your sense of truth shines through every time. This piece is no exception, and it makes the irony all the more sweet, because this is ART! Great to hear your voice always my friend!
