My Karma Has Gone Upside-Down

Bah, humbug!

My karma has gone upside-down

At every corner that I turn round

Everything I do and say

Is taken completely the wrong way

My words are sour, and full of bile

And words I say are without smile

Black cloud looms over my head

Call it a day, and go to bed

I love the title- but I would love too if you could move away from the constrictions of rhyming and open the poem up with more free verse and a more conversational style. This poem has the potential to be hugely original and profound.
