Lack of Faith, Lack of Trust

 

Loss of faith in humanity

Pain and lies are all I see

The truth is kept under wraps

And truth may be dead, perhaps

The more people that I meet

Every face that I come to greet

Makes me distant and apart

Leaves a void within my heart

Lack of faith, lack of trust

To persevere I know I must

Struggle on, but only alone

Make my heart into a stone

Though I may bear it with a grin

It does not belie the doubt within

The faith I have in fellow man

Strong against it, I will stand

So what faith do you have in your fellow-man or wo-man?
Should one have faith in man or woman?
If one does have faith in man or woman, should one have prerequisites or qualifiers? Should one have faith perhaps in that elusive "unconditional" faith in every man or woman?

This is humanity in the times.. unfortunately and fortunately.. we pass through eras and phases which always goes from a war-like state to a peace-like state.. yes people are hurt and it is written all over them.. I love your writing James as there is alot of honesty in there.. thank you!
