The Message In The Bottle

As I once was, so now you shall be

Some words adrift upon the sea

The waves shall crash upon the shore

And all this while, you are wanting more

The sun and sand and sea and surf

Shall keep us separated upon this earth

But I am gone and you are now

Both of us kept apart somehow

These words I write are all that remain

Until we meet upon same shores again
