Anchor and Rock

Anchor and Rock

A Poem by James Takeo Panton

I try to so very hard
I try to make you smile
I try to not let you miss me
While I have been gone this while
But my strength it losses nothing
My will is good and strong
My thoughts of you last me the day
And all the while long
I keep looking for an answer
I keep working towards the day
When I shall be close to you
And never far away
I will hold your hand in silence
In the corners of my heart
And if I were to be with you again
I would never let us part
And when these days are over
And the sun doth shine again
I shall be beside you always
No matter where and when
I know of your struggle
I know of your uphil climb
But when you reach the top of it
I am sure there you will find
All the things you should have now
And all the things will be
Just don't forget those that helped
Please, don't forget about me
I would be an anchor
I would be a rock
These are not empty words
This is not only talk
I will be right here with you
Always at your need
And when the time has come
It will be YOUR time, indeed!
