Poems Are Made By Fools Like Me

Poems Are Made By Fools Like Me

A Poem by James Takeo Panton

Your eyes like diamonds, brightly shine

Your heart like fire, if it were mine

Your touch is gentle, warm, and deep

Your promises are mine to keep

And without you, I only sleep

For from this dream I cannot awake

My heart inside was yours to take

My arms, they long to bring you near

My hands they smooth away the fear

How much I wish that you were here

My love in which within resides you

My soul it sings and is beside you

Sweetness here I seek, and find

In every corner of my mind

And all my tears are left behind

I will one day, again, hold your hand

After I have traversed cross this great land

And the mountains and the seas and the stars above

Shall never restrain the coming of

The journey I take to my great love

I feel the devotion, the love...extremely beautiful! What a title, too! A gorgeous poem all the way around!
