"Relationship" Poem Assignment

Shortly after a completely emotionally draining fight with one of my roommates, my other roommate came to comfort me and make sure I was okay.

“You’re not meant to be Best Friends”

That’s what they said,

But you ma’am, you are my Best Friend.

 

You remind me of home,

Even when I think I’m alone.

You give me hope,

When that b***h gets poked.

 

I can cry and get mad,

But you’ll always make sure that I’m not sad.

Because you care for me,

And I know you’ll be my forever, bb.

 

I love you girl,

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again.

 

You help me just two nights ago,

When you wouldn’t let me go

And leave me to myself,

Because you really know that I needed someone else.

 

You show me that it’s not okay to “handle it yourself”

And that we can go and be our merry selves.

 

Yes, we have problems,

Well maybe me, not you,

But you show me how to be through and through.

 

Thank you Roomie,

You know it’s true.

How much I appreciate me and you.

 

I hope you know

That no matter what,

You’re my girl.

And I, I love you.
