Everything comes in waves.

I've learned to live with many things

Of which no one will know.

I've learned to roll with the tide

Wherever the waves go.

Waves of despair.

Waves of joy.

Waves of contentment.

And waves that destroy.

Life is full of moments, both of joy and despair as captured in the poem. Learning to live with it is not allowing despair to overwhelm you.
