Caretaker

Caretaker

A Poem by Fanicia E.
"

What do you need?

"
Only good for the good times.
Always there
Make you feel fine.
Sit down.
Need to unwind.
Don't look out for me
You ain't got the time.

So
Watch me drip
Crimson pain
Of a different vein.

Make my breakdown a spectacle.
See what else you can gain.

This reminds me of the way we can sometimes have good-time friends, while there are other friends that help us thru the tough times. The ideal would be for each friend to relate to our ups & downs. But here you've pegged it perfectly, the way some people just don't want to know us when we're feeling down *sigh!* Fondly, Margie

Yeah, I think we're all a little more self-centered than we'd like to admit lol. Thank you Margie.

Beautiful. There is something haunting about this piece, and I love that. It's quite dark, and I love that too. Great piece, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
