NewA Story by Diane FisherMoving growing changing starting over!
I smile to myself as I untangle my fingers from the rubber band that holds together a roll of childhood posters, releasing myself from them, at last, as I lay them atop the haphazard pile growing in the center of my room, amongst all the other toys and books and souvenirs that used to mean the world to me.
I thought these things would be hard for me to part with, but they are not. Instead, pride swells in me as my cluttered closets’ contents spill into the center of my room, ready to move along to a new place, where perhaps they will be treasured once more as I once treasured them.
Today, I am no longer a child.
