The confession

Sometimes it's hard to say what bothers you, and sometimes it's hard to say what you want. And it's always hard to speak the truth.

And I cry, and cry, 

and still I cry, 

keeping it inside 

even though I try. 

Forgetting feels good, 

but I can't hold it there,

 it's returning back,

 it's playing fair.

 Yes, it grows,

 this desire to speak.

 It hurts in here

 and when I try I'm weak.

 And then I cry, and cry, 

and still I cry,

 wondering why

 I simply don't lie.

 Oh, then I recall

 what they had told;

 only the truth

 can take revolt.

 Only the truth

 collects the blood,

 lies will just

 create a flood.

 Yet I am weak,

 and still in doubt,

 needing the courage

 to speak it out loud.

 But then I cry, and cry,

 and still I cry,

 rather than speak,

 away I'll fly.

Author's Note

According to my opinion the poem is not the best thing, but I decided to upload it anyways. New, better ones are coming sooner! :)
Btw. I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes or so, since I am uploading this one with my phone, so the whole process not really clear-sighted.

I really enjoy the simplicity and repetition of this piece. While it may not have a postitive ending, it does share with us a common feeling that occurs in emotionally heavy situations... The fight or flight response. We can either face our fears and stand up, speaking of what is bothering us. Or we can choose to hurt ourselves more by running, taking flight.

A nice piece that have a good relatable theme to it. =)

i like the simplicity and repetition of that one stanza, and the overall theme of the poem. I think it is a feeling and position in time that everyone has been in at one point in their lives, and this seems to depict it wonderfully, at least for me to relate to. keep up the good work!
