Even though this poem is specific to gay people, it is funny how it can also be applied to men in general. The main thought of it of course, the last line. Not all men of course, and some women fit the picture to, but I find it amazing how all your poems, even though they might be directed towards the gay of life, they are applicable to life in general. I always, after further analysis, find that your poems are more sided than just the obvious point you state. Wonderful.

As my friend Chris, is openly gay, I have learned a bit about the culture. Aside from being more open about your emotions and feelings, I see no real difference between that of a gay culture and that of a straight culture.

I am speaking in strictly non-sexual terms, of course. Some of the best friends I have had are in fact gay, and I am quite happy and content to be around them - and they in turn like me and my company because I treat them as equals and accepted for who they are - as a loving and caring individual.

I would explain the millions of sperm about making sure a very fit sperm makes it to the egg. It is not about promiscuity as each and every one of those sperm has but one goal. It would seem the egg is the promiscuous one.

IT is true what Pryde says about sperm cells. My apologies to my boy N!LoC for drifting off topic into the world of straight single pickup or whatever the hell I was posting about. I don't consider the "bad boy" fascination many women have to be a bad thing. It just is what it is. If a guy knows something about it and can have a reasonable conversation with a girl without his tongue falling into her cleavage in the first five minutes of meeting her he's got a better chance than most guys who hit on her do if she's available. When women say they're attracted to confident men what that means is she's attracted to a guy who knows who he is, isn't intimidated by her beauty and isn't going to be her lapdog when she tests him and oh will she test him. How else is she going to know if he has a backbone? Nice guys are afraid of women's tests and won't stand up to her when she pulls some stunt and won't call her on her s**t. He'll let her walk all over him cause he's afraid to upset her and women have no respect for that at all. That doesn't mean a man should treat a woman like s**t in a relationship. It means a man needs enough confidence in himself not to fall to pieces trying to please her when she decides to test him and can be firm with her when he has to be, not cruel, firm. Unfortunately as lot of people can't tell the difference and that's how women get hurt. By emotionally (and sometimes physically) cruel men.
