It’s a tradition, having your sexuality chosen for you at 16. 

It’s 2031. What do you expect? 

Let me introduce myself.

I’m Subject #2208. We are not allowed to have names. I would have never known about names if it weren’t for that weird book someone dropped on the aisles.

I’m 15 years old. Turning 16 tomorrow. Born 2016. Everything was normal when I was younger. Until I turned 10 years old thing became weird. I faintly remember my biological parents. 

We live on sophisticated aisles. We have assigned G Subjects. When you turn 21 you have the option to become a G Subject. They assign you another G Subject and one Subject. 2 Subjects max. We also have bubbles. You know that towns and cities, and states existed? Crazy. We live in a bubble with air conditioning basically. Climate change is taking the world by storm. Literally. 

I only knew about Subjects. G Subjects. Bubbles. Anything else? Not allowed. I’ve heard that many things are in the B Room. The B Room is everything that existed.

“And shall never.” They say.

That was my old mind. My innocent mind.

Now I know about everything. Could’ve been killed 5 times. Actually died 2 times. But it was worth it.
