The IT boy.

The IT boy.

A Poem by Niko

"Is that a boy or a girl?"
The words that ignite the flame.
The words that intensify the insecurity.

Slouch more. Hide your chest. Drop your voice.
That shirt is too tight.

Change it.

You can't let them know. You can't let them see.

"Ma'am?"
Don't flinch. Don't respond.

Bite your lip. Hold in the anger.

"Are you really a boy or do you just act like one?"

Clench your fists. Don't make eye contact.

Hold your breath. Count to ten.

"F****t." "Dyke." "He-She."

You look too feminine.
Bind more. Tighter. The pain is worth it.
Avoid the mirror. Don't make eye contact.

Stop crying.

"My daughter."

Hold it in. Clench your teeth.

Don't cry. Man up.
"You aren't a real boy."
Ignore them. Don't listen.

Look at the wall.

"Tranny."

Your heart stops. You can't let them know.
You can't let them see the pain.
Casually wip your eyes.

Don't make eye contact...
