Collapse.

Collapse.

A Poem by Nicole Vigorito

Softly settling, my heart has no savior.

The drugs, vanishing.

Leaving me to this profound slumber.

Folding your arms around me.

We'll whisper soft "I love you"'s

until my mind enters a state of repose.

Everything draining from me.

My mind is surrounding me with emptiness

as my body lays inanimate.

A dreamless sleep.

I'm falling down, again.
