From a concerned citizen

This piece is in response to the terrifying news of child molestation in Nigeria.

I will just keep typing

and let the keys do the talking

this rookie has something to say

and will not let my inexperience get in the way

this emotion is too heavy for the heart

this anger is unhealthy from the start

the innocent is no longer protected

because their safe place is now tainted

these little angels do not know what is going on

so the monsters keep doing what they want

 till it is too late to correct the wrong

now we only hope lives go on

and pray our actions will put a stop to the next one

And sadly, that is the best we can do for the little ones

Thank U for sharing this information with us, all the way from Nigeria, I would have never even known about it otherwise. You're right; child molestation does need to be brought to an end. The poem itself wasn't as impactful as the message you're trying to get across.
