Gate

Gate

A Poem by nikki sicki

You don't see me
When I look at you unknowingly
The cycle is overwhelming
The cocoon I've created around me
is so tight
so air tight
Hiding deep in my cave
hibernating waiting to be cracked out
compromising what I intend, what I am
too far in to come out
and I see you, searching out something meaning ful
something real
censored, roped into animosity
contradicting what I intend, what I am
threw you in and under empty channels
You can never draw a perfect circle
around me
pretend you don't see me
that's okay
Cause I don't see you clear anyway
focused on the window
the opening that shows your real
will for you to heal what leeches took
a hold inside of me
compromising the pinch inside of me
contradicting cycles, with time
noting heals
there is only change
I had an undying hate for those who
punctured my umbilical cord
my ability to love
my radioactive waste
radioactive life
I can forgive you
but can I forgive myself?
