A star without the night

A star without the night

A Poem by nikki sicki

What is a star without the night?
What is a star without the night?
and what is time with out love...
your body shakes off prophecies
your not the one
your not the one
The smoke I inhaled from your eyes
made me cry
pink eye
pink lies
pink cats dancing in the streets
for our disease
The equators line followed you like a tail
nations were divided between you and me
scents of flesh breaking out for
you
Taking the wrists of time
split them in half
make them into a box
to hold my regrets of not running after
you
Because they still trying to get out
Hemoglobin pretends not to know
my boxed shaped heart I put out
a folding chair, two pillows and a dove for you.
The chair for the waiting
the pillows for the yearning
and the dove that will set you free
because accidents happen
accidents happen
time to measure me up
never enough
never good enough
Why cant you love me?
It is better to lost and then love then to love and regret
