Stifling The StormA Poem by nikita
They clipped my wings, I was far too young.
They stole my voice, I'm a song unsung. They spread me thin when i was a work too deep, And pushed me farther than I wanted to be. I turn my back to unfavorable winds as they close their eyes to my undeniable wins. If you've spent a day in the darkness you'll know, that it has a way of swallowing you whole. So I'll be quiet and brew along because you can stifle the weak, never the strong. They can turn their backs whenever I win. And close their ears when my songs, the others sing. This is just the calm before the storm, the storm I'll unleash... They wont be able to ignore, when salvation rains down on me. For the storm needs no wings, when the wind gives it thrust, and as the voice of the Gods, it's a song you can trust. A storm can wreak havoc over areas wide and a storm has no limit,no cliff's too high. So I'l be quiet and brew along because you can stifle the breeze never the storm.
