Love in The Time of Rush-hour

Love in The Time of Rush-hour

A Story by Nikhil Ranka

By the window, two strangers sat in the back seat of two different cars.

Coincidence and the rush hour traffic put their vehicles beside each other.

Their eyes met.

She drew a melancholy expression.

His heart skipped a beat.

He waved at her. She smiled.

His heart pounded.

He fogged the car window and wrote with his finger:

"UR

:)

BEUTIFUL"

She blushed.

She fogged her window and wrote with her fingers:

"LIAR"

He smiled.

He fogged his window and wrote down his number.

She called him and said:

"You forgot the A in BEUTIFUL, silly."

He blushed. She laughed a mirthful laugh.

Sometimes… Love happens.
