Lost

invisible existence

 LOST

I was lost in your eyes

as you passed me in the hall

I was lost in my disguise

as you watched me fall

Into the darkness

of my room

aware of that crushing doom

you knew that I'd feel

as you peeled back that mask

of night

which covered my insecurities

as it fell

to my feet

you looked into my soul

way too deep

so far

you looked

it made you awe shooked

and shaken

not knowing it was my heart that was breaking
