FINGER NAILS

FINGER NAILS

A Poem by nightmask
"

might gross you out you have been warned

"

FINGER NAILS long and spidery

slip underneath an ember scab

and pry it open pulling some skin along with it

watching the disrupted healing of the area flood over in small scarlet stitches of liquid

FINGER NAILS wrong and wirey

scratch along a black faded board

dust comming off as you trace your now dirty finger along it

your  nail of glass slowly tugging onto the board as you scrape it across making irritating squeaking sounds that are high pitched and deadly

FINGER NAILS belong on firey hands

scratching at the irritated skin from which the vampiric misquitos take your blood

the red infectious bite pulsating red pink around the rim itching you into a frenzy and when you squeeze it beetween your FINGERNAILS it turns white and yellow

It reminds me of a victim from one of the Saw movies when I read this. I think of a human being put in a situation where he or she slowly goes insane, so they start scratching at things to pass the time or try to escape.
