Sea of sleeplessness

it's the feeling you get when you fall asleep and wake up with a huge headache and can't get back to sleep

                                        TRY TO FALL ASLEEP

                                        you toss and turn

                                        THEN YOUR SKULL BEGINS TO BURN

                                         like a burn that cut too deep

                                         BLOOD VESELS EXPLODE

                                         on paper cells

                                         LIKE AN ANNOYING STORY THAT KEEPS REQUESTING TO BE RETOLD

                                         and when you refuse it rebels against your bones and mind

                                          A HEADACHE THAT REAPS YOUR THOUGHTS

                                          reducing your control to an apple rind

                                                IT CRACKLES AND SPARKS AS YOU TAKE TWO PILLS AND CHASE THEM FAST

                                          the water and pills save your sanity like a raft

                                          IS ALL I NEED TO STAY AFLOAT

                                         while my mind grinds on the sea of currents

Another good poem! I liked the alternating usage of capitalization and the lack thereof much better than the last poem.

One question. Is the line, " A HEADACHE THAT REAPS YOUR THOUGHTS" supposed to be "rapes" instead of "reaps?"

Other than that observation, great poem!
