tooth brush

another poem I was challenged to make a scary poem about this subject.

 BRUSH YOUR TEETH

my mother always said to do when I was little

WHY?

I always asked

DO IT OR I'LL GET DAD

she always threatened

MY QUESTION

was never answered

ONE DAY I WENT ON A SLEEPOVER

then my friend's mom said

BRUSH YOUR TEETH

I was scared to ask why

BECAUSE HER HUSBAND WAS IN JAIL

would he come after me if I didn't?

I BRUSHED MY TEETH IMMEDIATELY

the next day I went home

MY MOTHER ASKED ME

did you brush your teeth?

I NODDED

I would brush my teeth everyday

ONE DAY I BRUSHED TOO HARD

my gums began to bleed

MY DENTIST

said to not brush just for tonight to let my gums heal

THAT NIGHT

I walked in to the bathroom

I PICKED UP MY TOOTH BRUSH

I don't need to brush tonight

MY MIND SAID

I put my tooth brush down

MY HAND BEGAN TO SHAKE

my teeth began to ache

I TRIED TO CONVINCE MY SELF MY TEETH WERE FINE FOR TONGIHT

so i looked in the mirror and smiled

I STAGGERED BACK AND ALMOST SCREAMED

my teeth had white stuff on it and they were turning yellow

I GRABBED MY TOOTH BRUSH

as my mind began to bellow

BRUSH YOUR TEETH!

I unscrewed the cap of tooth paste 

I SQUIRTED IT ALL ON TO THE BRUSH AND FEROCIOUSLY 

I brushed my teeth till they al were sore and bleeding

I KEPT BRUSHING AND BRUSHING 

till I spat blood

I MORE SQUIRTED TOOTHPASTE INTO MY MOUTH 

I need to be clean!

I SWALLOWED THE CLUMP OF TOOTHPASTE LODGED IN MY THROAT

my throat was cold due to the mint in the paste

I TURNED OVER THE TUBE 

it read 

WARNING: IF SWALLOWED CONTACT THE POISIN CONTROL RRIGHT AWAY
