Subject: Elementals

To Queen Aranola Jilzaq Phillepenes-Cortez, Daxon Eiss, Juli Starblack,

Not much is known to the public about these ancient beings. Of those that are aware of the subject, most doubt their existence. Most proof lies in old stories, tales from long ago, and old carvings on structures from civilizations that came and went long before our time. They are described as enormous beings, crafted entirely of their element, each very unique, having full control over it, and being completely invincible to any who opposed them. Despite this, they were not creatures of war- no, they were creatures of peace, stopping conflicts and helping those in need. Many tales show examples of such happenings. This went on and on for centuries and centuries. There is no clear evidence as to why the time of these great creatures came to an end. A couple of stories that have been told a thousand different ways, carvings worn away by sand, water, wind, and time. The believers gather from these that another army rose up- or, rather, came to this world, and killed the unkillable creatures. Recorded history goes dark for a while after that. When it resumes, no trace of Elementals or the beings that destroyed them is recorded. Neither, for that matter, are any other creatures other than the ones that we know today.
However, this does not mean that there are not any Elementals left. There are still some, just in hiding. Elementals developed the unique ability to shift into human form. They learned to blend in, and only once the metapower taboo was gone did some of them come out of hiding. However, some of them had locked their power inside of them so deep to keep it from coming out and blowing their cover, that they no longer knew how to use it and barely remembered that they had it. Most of these remaining Elementals' minds did not last for long and were shattered. The few that did survive were the ones that used their power, however little. Keep in mind that those with kinetic powers are not Elementals. Elementals are ancient creatures of almost unlimited power but simple of mind. Kinetics, as previously explained, are part human, part Zrikryb.
The most notable Elemental that the public has had contact with is Volcrona and his son, Magma, Volcrona having being killed by the villains of SOS, IIEM, and now, REBEL. The lesser-known Elementals (as in known by me and now you) include Kylara Aquero's kittens, which she ironically name Light and Dark, in Spanish. Those two kittens are light and dark Elementals, each bound in kitten form by the collar made of the other's power. Since light and dark are opposites, they cannot escape. There are a few more, which we can discuss at our next meeting.
If the legends got one thing right, it's that the Elementals are hard to beat. This does not mean that they are unbeatable, as displayed in the Volcrona situation. Although, he was much easier to beat than normal Elementals, given his age and the fact that he'd gone off the deep end, getting married and having a son, along with several other factors, meant that he was nowhere close to full power. The way to beat an Elemental at full strength is to kill their hart. I'll leave you to figure out exactly what that means.

Can you guess who it was that came and destroyed most of the Elementals?
