Chapter Eleven: Misti

Mistina Kara Adelina Davis Venus 5 May 20th

As we were concluding our boring tour of the history of Venus, Marc was trailing behind the group. I decided to take a chance. I sidle up next to him.

“You have the Mutation, right?” I ask him.

“What’s the Mutation?” He asks. He’s trying to feign confusion, but I can see right through his act. I decide to take a risk.

“I have the Mutation. I can tell that you have it too,” I whisper.

“Okay yeah, I’m immune to fire basically, and can control it,” he admits. I smile and remove my shades. I know that my eyes are roaming, but I don’t need them.

“I’m blind, but I can see you just fine,” I tell him. Suddenly, there is a loud sucking noise as a black hole is opened. Our whole group is sucked in, screaming. When we get through the wormhole, we are in the middle of a street, with a mountain of creepy-looking dead bodies blocking most of the road. An older looking boy looks on with surprise at our group. “How…” he gawks, and suddenly bolts away in the opposite direction.
