Subject: Power Theory
To Daxon Eiss, Juli Starblack, Queen Aranola Jilzaq Phillepenes-Cortez,
There are two types of powers, dominant and recessive. All it is is simple genetics, really. Recessive powers are not readily accessible. They may never show up or may show up in a life or death situation later in life. The other way for recessive powers to show themselves is metamorphosis, which we've almost perfected. Recessive powers may or may not be passed down through generations and there is rarely a correlation of powers. Dominant powers may be present from birth or may develop during childhood or puberty. Dominant powers aren't brought out through a life-or-death situation and are always stronger than recessive powers. It should be noted that younger you develop your power, the stronger you will be when you grow up. In dominant powers, they are very likely to be passed along through generations, and there may be a chain of common powers in a family tree.
Mutations are where a person has animal body parts as a superpower. Typically, they are classified as animal shapeshifting powers, into that one animal, even though not all mutations can be shifting out of. At the next meeting, we should discuss the power classification and possibly rearrange it.
Dominant powers are very rare, as they have been almost entirely killed off. This is because powers or mutations used to be looked upon as dark magic, and those with them witches or demons. Dominant powers are hard to control, and thus very hard to hide. Not using dominant powers can lead to a decrease in health. This does not happen in GMs and in recessive powers. The dominant mutations, such as those visible from birth, are especially rare, as babies with mutations were usually drowned.
I do not need to remind you that it is important that we recruit as many powered young individuals as possible, to grow our strength. But, there is another reason. If young powered people, especially the ones with dominant genes, are put into the wrong hands, desolation could follow.
