The girl dragged me toward the window. Blood covered my face, and the knife wound throbbed. I thrashed and screamed, but the girl easily picked me up off the ground. Then she jumped out the window. She landed on a helicopter, then shoved me inside as she climbed in.

“Did you get him?” A familiar voice asked the girl.

“Yes, father,” she replied. I twisted my head to get a good look at the man. Oh. My. Gosh. It was S.W.O.R.D’s leader. He was sitting in the passenger seat of the chopper, casts on both arms. The girl had called him ‘father’... I didn’t know that the S.W.O.R.D leader had a daughter…
