A lesson from the phantom of the wisdomA Poem by YasminI stared upon his grave seeking a glimpse of his soul For he does exist, he lives under sand’s wall
He studied me, followed my steps with his careful eyes As he remained quiet, for he always believed that silence is wise
But when he saw my desperate call He gave me a hand to save my soul
As a river of burning tears fell from the top of his face A face that was mistreated by life in so many ways
Vivid wrinkles quivered for less than a while Confirming the request of his lips as they turned to a smile
He approached me as scars filled his, once, working hands Hands that built nations and protected lands
And with a weak almost steady voice that travels slowly to the ear A few words he spoke about wisdom he gained from his former years
A wise man he was so carefully I listened Awake and focused receiving messages he sent
“Keep faith in your heart, you’ll never fail For faith is immortal but beauty and smart will fade
But faith is a seed that grows slowly by prayers For it recharges the heart and removes the rusted layers
Speak up, for to be heard is no choice Shout and scream for God created for u a voice
It’s heaven to talk but when it’s about emotion don’t speak For words ruin emotions as they kill them and make them weak
It’s great to get what you want and your goals to achieve But rewards aren’t great unless you've worked hard them to receive
Mistakes we do as we dance with our demons daily And dances with our angels we reject as we forgive and fix rarely
And youth is wasted on the young so don’t copy me And live by passion and enjoy for this is success‘s key
And as much as we hate to admit it but pain, hate and fear keep us alive They explode remarkable power that pushes us forward in life
And grateful always be for satisfaction is unique bliss It keeps you on the right track before, the train of life, you miss
This is my wisdom I share to you my dear use it and loneliness you’ll never fear
And allow me to go back to my peaceful cave For together we’ll be once they prepare your grave”
As he left he drew an honest smile on face I was grateful for he is God’s grace © 2013 YasminReviews
