The Kingdom Of Night

The Kingdom Of Night

A Poem by Yasmin
"

What can I say? My imagination is wild

"

Night my dear friend
I send you my love with wind
I wake up to you to live another day
My morning begins when the sun goes away

Calls from my friends I get
As I drink my coffee and watch the sun sit
Enjoying the cold breeze on my hair
Living a moment of fairy tales

As all spirits rise to God
My soul on earth remains
Giving me desire to stay alive
Pausing for a second my pain

I watch the whole city fall asleep
Empty streets, no cars, no humans, no beeps
I enjoy the feeling of being alone
As the whole world becomes mine and I dream of the unknown

Full moon glowing in the middle of the sky
Clock pointers meet for a while
To announce, 12 o’clock, midnight
Giving closure to day’s fight

I wonder as time passes by
When will it ever stop hurting to wave goodbye?
But stars distract me with a flashing smile
Too clear as if it wasn’t thousand miles far

Call for prayer wakes people up
Comporting my lonesome and then it stops
Sky is no longer black
Stars disappear before the sun comes back

Waiting for his wife, he cries
As she dances a smile to his life
Breaking the dawn with her light
As they share love sight

His shift is over, her shift is on
They work together to play light’s song
With one thing in common they fall in love
Everyday and every night

And I hold my pen to write
The story I witness every night
The king of night and queen of light
And love that never dies

Your mind isn't any more wild than my own...lol I really related to this one! I love the last stanza the most; it just sounds good, feels good and has that intense feeling of wanting to leave you smiling. This is like one big, surreal dream. Well done.

This is full of beautiful imagery and deep philosophical meaning. As each day passes we should stop and observe the world in all its glory. No two moments are exactly the same.
