An Airborne Dream

An Airborne Dream

A Poem by Johnathan Nieves

Dreaming in a blissful state

Discovering hallucinations, which may be real or fake.

The hour you flew into my life was the day that time itself past away

Exploring the forest only you and I

Hearing strange cries from the other side

Pondering, whether or not if I could fly

And touch where the moon meets the sky

If my love were as big as the universe, I’d have a place to call home

If you were my side I would never be alone

I would have a queen of my own, perfect for her throne.

My one and true love like the happy ending of a story once told.
