sunriseA Poem by sammya quickly-written piece of love.
while i lay sleeping, the trumpets played
for the sunrise that has made me stay and for those hours i lay awake, prepared for the days i wish would break. until then, i will stir the soup spinning our hearts in a sequent loop adding love to the time we have had, and to the times that will drive us mad. but with patience, i will overflow over this love that forever grows you'll see me watch what will always hurt, my heart will stay steadily alert. and on the bay side i'll look above to our great god's freely-flying dove i'll want to wake then, praying to the sun for love and kindness toward everyone and one more thing, before the sun sets understanding for my strange life debts, i'll ask the Great One to free my heart and force this great pain to soon depart. while i slept, this pain could only grow out of the bed and toward this window, where i will see you sipping from the pot that which brought us the life we've sought hand wrought, it had to adjust from the black rain that caused it to rust but beneath the waves, the ocean stirs a shaken beginning born without words that's where you'll find me, awake so late for the sunrise i anticipate. © 2013 sammyAuthor's Note
