My shackled breaths

My shackled breaths

A Poem by Nida Lodi

let my shackled breaths be free now
I am of no use to you with a broken bough

my life subsumes no hope to love for or to live for
I don't want a life where i can't move and soar

they rejected my euthanasia petition and lengthened my pain
i am enough with this pathetic life with incurable blain

I pity the judgement which released my culprit
and denied my fettered soul to acquit !!!!

Aruna shaunbagh case...everyone of us is aware of her excruciating pain...there is no possibility of her coming out of that condition in which she is struggling...her dementia has been in unprogressive stage since last 38 years.....imagine she has been living the same persistent vapid life since years...may she gets a peaceful delievarance from this ordeal...

i had read about the case and felt dejected cause in my opinion she should have been allowed .. coming back to the write i felt that there was still a bit of write left in it . but that's just my opinion . i guess the feeling of entrapment that has been quite aptly portrayed in movies like 'the diving bell and the butterfly' is too difficult for us to comprehend . still you have done a nice job . keep writing !

a poem as heartrending as the condition it depicts...

Incredible...poetry set affirmatively to real life tragedy. How moving this is...!

sad...how one can be left within a condition of this matter is beyond me...the realities of this world can make one feel as if there is no compassion ...and at times there is none...

a very sad view of this trajedy of life...
