Inhuman being

Inhuman being

A Poem by Nida Lodi

You know that i see your nightmares

You make fun of my fear

make me more scared everyday

i feel your fingers ripping my throat

You nip my chin strongly

your inhuman smile makes me tremble everytime

When someone takes your name

i feel a terrible sensation in my soul

and a paralyzing flashback comes in my mind

how you cramped me and jolted me down

and you bruised my body mercilessly

and now when i wake up in this glooming morning

i see that all the wounds on my body are vanished now

but then i wonder if the wounds on my soul will ever heal

and again my petrified body is thrown off in an endless bay!

until now i never knew the meaning of rape

and then i raise my head upwards in the sky

with tears in my eyes i say to my god

you showed me...you showed me...you showed me...

While the concept is intriguing, the lack of sensory detail makes it hard to immerse into. Fix that up & this could be great. Really make the audience feel what you felt- sensory details are key

no one should have to endure the abuse of another,,,to escape its grasp is to have the opportunity to enjoy life again...

nice work...

Hmm the jump in time frame is a bit jolting but the work can be appreciated. Good job.
