Snakes in the Grass

Snakes in the Grass

A Poem by Sinn
"

The underlying thoughts I have about constantly being treated like I don't matter.

"
I am, by no means, temporary,
Although my heart is a mortuary,
I am, by no means, a dignitary.
And although it is not customary,
My mind is rather fragmentary.

But, the grass is tall my friend,
And I sense a serpent around the bend.
And when my kindness you expend,
Kindness I will not extend.
Because the heart you did offend,
Is not one to which you'll tend.

You, you are a wolf in sheep's clothes,
And made me suffer through your throes.
And though this life is one you chose,
And I am not one to impose.
I was the one who was disposed.
